These are some tags I have been working on in the studio. I used chipboard and covered it with paper on both sides. The images are from Altered Pages #557. The scalloped circle is a Tim Holtz
die. I added lace; ribbon and a stick pin. These would be great christmas ornaments!!!!
Hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend. It is a beautiful day in the NW corner of
Connecticut. I am looking forward to the leaves changing color. I am lucky, I just look out of my window and the show begins!!!!

Marie Antionette
Good afternoon, friends. I was in my studio this morning to work on this project. I need something to display my domino pendants and thought this would do the trick. I picked up this wooden dress form at Michaels yesterday. With my altered pages image of Marie#1709, I attached it to the front , added some trim, feathers, lace, flowers and a lace jabot to the bottom for her skirt. The fan is from an old charm bracelet.
My next project is to add the wire to the dominos so I can hang some bling. My friend JoAnne gave me a tutorial Monday on wire wrapping. She is the expert when it comes to jewlery making. I will do my best and show you some samples tomorrow.

Magnet Board
Good Sunday morning friends. I have been absent this week but busy behind the scenes. I am working on my crafts for Xmas fairs. My first will be Oct 22. Seems like a long way off, but time moves very quickley. This magnet board is truly vintage. I decided to make some different magnets, one a dress form and a spool of thread. I sprayed my lace with aderondick ink to make it look aged. I added a rose ribbon at the top. Hope you like it. Thanks for your support, I truly appreciate it!

Altered Magnetic Note Board
Good Evning. I am later than usual today. I was taking a class at New England Scrapbook this morning. This is my first class here, but I shop there all the time. Lynn & Sue are great gals and a lot of fun! The class was given by Pamela Huntington, a very talented lady. She is going to be putting another class together in the future which I may take. This board is easy . You need the metal board, paper of your choice, trim, lace and modge podge. The board comes with 4 magnets which are so much fun to decorate. I used some gauze, buttons, flowers and a bird.
Tomorrow, I am going to my Grandaughter's birthday party. All my grandchildren will be there.

Marie Antionette Altered Clothes Pin
Good afternoon It has been a weird day today. I was working in my studio this morning, getting my christmas cards in envelopes and wrapped in plastic. I then had some lunch and worked on some chiffon flowers which I will upload when they are finished. We have been without a phone for a few days. Tech was supposed to come out yesterday. Charter called to tell us that the tech was on his way. They got a busy signal so they canceled. After jumping down their throat, we are waiting for them now. How do they think you are going to answer your phone when it is not working duh?????? Sometimes I think the world is upsidedown. Where is common sense?
I decided that I wanted a Marie clothes pin. For some reason, she has gotten under my skin. I painted the pin berry wine, attached a small lace around the edges. Then I added some lace in layers for her gown, roses, pearls and greenery. She is now sitting on my desk very proud to be here. Thanks for allowing me to rant!!!

Ribbon Tutorial
Good morning ladies. Here is the tutorial for the ribbon technique. The length of ribbon you choose indicates the length of the "rucching". For demonstration, I have used a 12" length of ribbon. Thread a needle with a generous length of thread.
The next step: instead of just gathering stitches, use the diagonel stitches shown here. One to one side, going over to the other side. Makes the gathering even.
When you have the length you want, pull the stitches tightly and stitch together, leaving a tail at each end. You might have to "fuss" with the ribbon to make sure the right sides are facing up. When attaching to a card, I hot glue one end, arrange the middle and glue.

Vintage get well card
Good afternoon. I was working on my vintage cards this morning and I decided to add a little something extra to this card. The card dates back to 1927, and has lovely silver outlines around the flowers. The background is a soft pink with light blue flowers. I added a new technique that I learned. I think it is called rucching. I love the look, and it is perfect for adding just a little something to a card. I will work on the turorial later this afternoon and post tomorrow.
Please let me know what you think. I love comments!

What I Have Been Up To
Happy Monday! This weekend flew by and here we are in August. I spent the last week working on my Stamps. About a year ago, I took most of my wooden stamps of the blocks and put them in CD cases. That freed up a lot of room. My chore this week was to catagorize them and put labels on the outside so I can find what I am looking for. This is just one of the book cases I have for just my CD cases. The other one has other wooden stamps that I am not planning to take off the blocks. One project down. Many more to go.
I will be working again on my vintage christmas and everyday cards. I worked with one today from 1924! I have my bazzaars lined up starting in October. Hard to believe that we are headed for that dreaded S word. At least we have the fall to look forward to.
I live 8 miles outside of town and the fall foliage views are so beautiful. I do not have to travel far as I am surrounded by woods!! I am 600 ft off the road, so I do not hear traffic, just birds , fox and bears!!!!! Talk to you tomorrow.
