Moving Forward

With Christmas behind me, I am looking toward spring with my new designs. Working with cotton yarns for the warmer weather, I am concentrating on  sun hats and berets in light colors such as pink, greens, yellows and of course white. Many options to choose when it comes to decorating. Scarves, pins and various complimentary ribbons will be seen at Chapeau Designs by Arline. I am including some sample photos.

New Chemo Hat Style

This is a new style for my chemo hats. Would be great in cotton for the summer. Being a nuetral color, you can change the look of your hat by changing the scarf .The edge is decorated with the shell stitch to give it a little punch of  style. $35.00

Chemo Hats

I have been working with various boutiques and hospital gift shops in Connecticut. My fleece chemo hats have been a hit. They are warm, lined and very stylish. Mrs Dalloway is a fictitional character from Great Britain. She is standing tall in Ann Nyberg's Boutique Annie Mame, in Madison Ct.

Well, we are in October. The summer flew by and we are looking at the holidays!!! 
The museum event was fabulous. Met a lot of wonderful people and am looking forward to being back in Dec. Here

Finished Order

This is one of my favorite fleece colors to work with. A blank canvas to really use your design talents. This lovely hat is being shipped to Gillette, Wyoming to DeeAnna. Cannot wait to see her in it.

Baby Grace Collection

     I have been working on some hats for my new niece, Alexis, and decided that I was having a lot of fun. So, I have started a line of baby and toddler hats for the young divas. Style should be cultivated while we are young! Thank goodness that my Mother was a showstopper in her day. Everything was co-ordinated. She had a sense of style before it was popular!!

will be crochet and hand sewn hats from newborn to 4 toddler. I will have a few items for the young fellows also.

Fall Is In The Air

    Looking forward to cooler days and crisp nights. The humidity did me in this year. 

I am working feavershly on my fall collection. This is one of my light beige fleece hats, a beautiful multi color flower and feathers with a whimsy of wire for pizzaz

Fall Information

We are quickly entering the cooler months and beautiful New England scenery.The leaves are starting to change and it is always an awesome site. On September 21 & 22, I will be at the Haight Vineyard in Litchfield Ct. with  my fall collection. This was a personal  invitation from Carrie, and I am delighted to be able to be a part of the Fall Festival. A lovely crisp fall weekend would be perfect. I will have more fall colors for the ladies and many "new characters" for the children

Launch of the Dishy Duds Line

Just started a line for the pets  in the family. Dogs and cats love to look  good. Owners love to
pamper their pets, especially around the holidays.  Here are some shrugs and headbands, For the boys, we have the shrug and a bowtie. I am offering these  in different colors. For the Diva's. I have decorated mini top hats!!!

This is a new Gatsby Hat that I just finished, and I love the way it turned out! The material is a luscious velvet with flowers of burgundy and teal. There is a gold thread throughout the hat that adds to the richness of the fabric. I matching purse finishes off the design.

Red Heart Health Fashion Show

What a great treat to meet Ann Nyberg and Susan St James today! Both ladies are lovely and charming. Ann  is interested in my vintage hats for her boutique in  Madison, Ct -AnnieMame   The Great Gadsby will be filming in Newport in July, Ann thought that my hats would be a great fit for her store.

Some new items

I have been working on some new items for my upcoming craft fairs. I do not have many items for the girls, so I decided to work on these cute hair bows. I crocheted the bows and decorated them with ribbon.I got the pattern from tangled happy! I love that site.
