Fabric Book Pages

Here are the final pictures in my fabric book. I loved the pictures of these beautiful children.
I will be working on some new products in the next few days. I will try to post an update. I will also be setting up a class for gals who do not work with vintage images . Boy, they do not know what they are missing.
I had to get some items for my class at New England Scrapbooking, and of course picked up a new Tim Holts die. When I finish, I will post a picture!!

More Fabric Book Pages

Two more pages of my book. I tend to keep things simple on these two pages. The lace tells the story. Tomorrow I will post the rest of the pages. The images are from AlteredPages.com
If anyone is still hesitating on making a fabric book, try it! It is a wonderful feeling to create something that you never thought you could. Yes!!!!!!!!!

Fabric & Lace Book

Good Afternoon. I am a first timer with fabric books. I wanted to try the technique for quite a while but was afraid that the down loading of image to fabric was a little beyond my talents. Well, let me tell you that this was a piece of cake. The images are from AlteredPages.com. I downloaded the images onto my computer I bought some freezer paper and took a piece of light weight muslin, cut it to 8 1/2 x 11 and ironed it onto the freezer paper. I took all paper out of my HP printer and ran just the muslin sheet thru. Easy peasy. And they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks!!!!!! Hope you like it. If you have any questions, just ask. I will show some more pages tomorrow.

Victorian Jewlery by JoAnne StJames

This lovely cabochon has flecks of copper and is surrounded by dark bronze delica beads and clear crystal fringe on a dark brown netted chain.
This piece would look lovely worn with a high necked blouse. The clear crystal beads around the stone look like delicate lace!
A true Victorian look!!! See more of JoAnn's work at her website www.accessor-ize.com

A Little Project

Good Afternoon! Sorry to be missing in action the last few days. I have been catching up on some projects for Altered Pages. The weather in Connecticut has been rainey, so I am sticking close to home. I am not an outdoor, gardening type, hate the bugs!!!!!
I will be posting some new projects tomorrow. Hopefully, I can get back to the studio tomorrrow. This little project was so much fun. I wanted it for my desk. I am forever loosing those little scraps of paper that you write a phone number that you HAVE to have!!!!!
I purchased a large clothespin at New England Scrapbooking. I colored it with a burgandy acrylic paint. I had some small paper scraps, some gold stickers, flowers, craft fan, lace , a pearl brad, pearls and an altered pages image.

My Altered Rolodex

Good Afternoon,
I decided to purchase a new rolodex because mine was a mess. I thought I would alter the front cover. So, of course I had to get my goodies out and put together my favorite Gibson Girl stamp on the cover. I also painted the Tim Holtz key and painted it in gold, added a bow and some flowers. I also took all of my vintage women images and stamped on the address cards.
It looks very good on my desk !
Just looked at my follower count. We are up to 43!!!!! Only 7 more to go. Whohoooooooooo!!!!!

One of my swaps

Well, I got back from West Springfield a lot poorer. You know how it is! I could not leave all that goodnesss there, could I? It was a good show, but little smaller than last year. I was very interested in Heartfelt Creations and The Stampsmith. I was able to get some great stamps. A Fun, fun , day!!!!!!! When I got home, my husband and I went down to my son Kevin and my daughter in law Kim's for a birthday picnic. Spent some time with my grandsons. They are getting so big.
This is a tag I made for Mini Album Scraps. I had a few more that I wanted to share, but the pictures were a little blurry, and I packed up the swaps to be mailed tomorrow.
Have a great Sunday and I will post again tomorrow.

Altered Frame

Good Afternoon
Cannot believe the change in the weather today. It is very windy and cool. Yesterday, the rain and the wind was very scary. Tornados in Massachusetts, very unusual. I am planning on going up to West Springfield to the Stamp & Scrap Expo on Saturday. I hope they get a good crowd for the vendors. I go every year as a birthday gift to my self. I shop and then I take myself to lunch!! Do not dare ask how old, I do not want to think about it.
Finished my swaps today. Now I just have to go to the post office and send them off.
This is a project for Altered Pages. Hope you like it.
